At the International Education Fair in Hanoi, ILPS CU presented study opportunities at Charles University

The recent Begin Edu Fair in Hanoi hosted many prestigious universities from around the world, including Charles University. Representing the Institute of Language and Preparatory Studies (ILPS CU), the director Dana Hůlková Nývltová and her deputy Barbora Štindlová presented study opportunities and prospects for students from Vietnam. 

The fair is one of the most important events of its kind in Asia and has therefore attracted many students looking to gather information about studying abroad. The Director of ILPS CU Dana Hůlková Nývltová and her deputy Barbora Štindlová presented the English preparatory programmes for studying technical and economic fields at Czech universities, as well as the possibilities to prepare for university studies in Czech.

The opportunity to study in the Czech Republic is very popular in Vietnam and the interest is growing every year. The attention of the Vietnamese students exceeded expectations and the ILPS CU representatives had to answer many questions and introduce the programmes offered in great detail. The students browsed catalogues and brochures and asked detailed questions about life in the Czech Republic, showing great interest not only in the studies, but also in the high quality of teaching at Charles University, and some of them even carried the Czech flag, which shows the extent of their motivation.

Some of the participants interested in studying in the Czech Republic also had the chance to take part in two informal field trips, during which they learned Czech phrases and got acquainted with some Czech cultural traditions.   

One of the most importat events was a meeting of the ILPS CU representatives with delegates of the Czech Embassy in Hanoi. The main focus was to discuss the possibility of expanding the offer in the field of education with Ambassador Hynek Kmoníček and the First Secretary, Head of the Consular Department, Martina Saitlová. „It is very good that Charles University seeks out genuinely motivated candidates for study and manages the whole admission process in cooperation with the Embassy, which strives to provide the institutions with all the necessary information and support," said the Ambassador.  

The fair in Vietnam proved to be a successful event that generated many new contacts and opportunities for Charles University. ILPS CU hopes that its activities will support the decision of Vietnamese students to study at Charles University in both Czech and English programmes.
