Czech level

Czech language outcomes

At the end of the programme, you will take a Czech language exam. Successful students will receive a certificate recognized by more than 80 faculties.

The Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy foundation programme COMPLEX is designed to help you reach levels B1 or B2 in Czech. Students' progress depends mainly on their motivation, regular study, language aptitude, and previous experience with learning foreign languages.

For highly motivated students who need advanced medical language for their target faculty, an individually arranged Medical Czech exam (up to C1 level) is available at UJOP as an additional option and typically requires consistent independent study.

If Czech is linguistically distant from your native language (non-Slavic), you may benefit from a two-year plan:

  • Year 1 – Medicine and Pharmacy COMPLEX: start from beginner level and reach B1.
  • Year 2 – Medicine and Pharmacy PROGRESS: continue to B2 and strengthen Medical Czech up to C1.
