Study Nanotechnology for Free

Czech Higher Education for International Students

Study at the best Czech universities for free.

According to the law, higher education in the Czech Republic (bachelor’s and master’s degree studies) is free for everyone, including foreigners. The only condition is that you have to study in Czech. But don’t be afraid! It is difficult, but possible.

The chances of ÚJOP Charles University graduates to enter the best universities in popular specialties increase significantly. We have been successfully preparing foreign students for admission to Czech universities for over 60 years.

Work in the Czech Republic after University Graduation

What are the advantages of a diploma received in the Czech Republic?

First, you get free access to the Czech labor market – you do not need to go through complicated procedures, which are mandatory for foreigners that do not have a Czech diploma.

The second important argument in favor of a Czech diploma is that your education is easily recognized in any country of the European Union.

What can you do with a degree in Nanotechnology?

A graduate of the bachelor’s degree program in nanotechnology is armed with knowledge of the basic physics course, has an understanding of nanomaterials, their production, properties and use. The graduate is familiar with the main experimental methods and methods for characterizing nanomaterials.

Nanotechnology at Czech Universities

Nanotechnology at Palacký University in Olomouc

The program is designed as an academic one. It consists of modules of theoretical subjects in the fields of physics, mathematics, partially chemistry and nanotechnology. It is complemented by practical lessons aimed at gaining experience in conducting experiments. Students also complete internships lasting a total of 12 weeks at companies or research institutes that specialize in (nano)materials.

The classes are conducted at the Faculty of Science. Find the detailed admission requirements here. (updated 20.04.2023).

The entrance exam: SCIO test (OSP or Mathematics). In both cases you pass the exam by getting at least the 90th percentile, unless a lower percentile is specified for a particular study program.

Level of the Czech language proficiency: no certificate is required. Read about language proficiency here.

Physics - Nanotechnology at Masaryk University

The study program "Physics - Nanotechnology" will introduce you to the latest trends in modern nanotechnology in terms of physical phenomena that are applied in practice.
Nanotechnologies are a priority in the scientific policy of the Czech Republic and the European Union, since they have a significant impact on almost all industries and make it possible to produce new modern materials with unique useful properties. Nanotechnology draws upon knowledge of many scientific disciplines - chemistry, physics, biology, medicine and microelectronics. However, studying physics seems to be the most beneficial start on the path to acquiring the most versatile competencies in terms of learning the key production, diagnostic and functional principles.

The classes are conducted at the Faculty of Science. Find the detailed admission requirements here (updated 01.12.2022).

The entrance exam: A learning ability test or a physics test.

Level of the Czech language proficiency: No certificate of the Czech language proficiency is required. Read about language proficiency here.
