NEW: Two-Day Czech Language and Civics Exam for Citizenship Now Available in Prague and Brno

In response to growing demand, UJOP continues to expand its testing capacity and number of exam dates. A new option has now been introduced: candidates can take the Czech language and civics exam for Czech citizenship over two consecutive Wednesdays at the Krystal Centre in Prague—and starting in June, also in Brno.

Under the new format, candidates complete the written portion of the Czech language and civics exam on the first day. Some candidates then proceed directly to the oral exam on the same day, while others return the following day to complete it.

Thanks to these newly added two-day sessions, 480 candidates have already been tested in Prague alone during the first half of the year. In Brno, nearly 60 additional candidates are expected to be tested under the new arrangement.

Looking ahead, UJOP plans to further streamline the process with the launch of a new registration system. Once specific exam dates are published, the system will automatically assign candidates to available slots based on their stated preferences. The new system is expected to be introduced in the summer of 2025.
