VSB - Technical University of Ostrava: Czech Republic’s Largest Campus Attracts UJOP Students

On Friday, March 7, two representatives from the International Relations Department of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava connected remotely with students enrolled in the technical preparatory programmes at UJOP. This presentation was part of a series organized by UJOP to give students a deeper understanding of Czech universities and the opportunities they offer.

During the virtual session, students explored the city of Ostrava and learned about the unique features of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. With the largest university campus in the Czech Republic, VSB offers an extensive range of facilities, from a kindergarten to a planetarium.

The university is home to seven faculties, over 11,000 students, and a diverse selection of study programmes, including industrial engineering, finance, management, nanotechnology and IT. The representatives highlighted the university's strong commitment to scientific research, particularly in fields like information technology.

The session also highlighted VSB’s commitment to student well-being, including its career centre, which helps students navigate the job market and advance their professional development.
