Poděbrady Preparatory Students Attend Seminar on Studying at the UCT School of Business

On Thursday, January 16th, a team from the School of Business at the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague (UCT), led by Mr. Miloš Krejčí, visited the Poděbrady centre to speak with students about study opportunities at UCT and answer their questions.

Mr. Krejčí emphasized that the UCT School of Business is based on evidence and concrete data, while also maintaining a human-centered approach to students. He highlighted the university's diverse international community, made up of its many international students, and its modern teaching methods as key advantages.

The students appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from current UCT students, who come from diverse backgrounds and are quite familiar with the university.

The seminar also provided detailed information about practical aspects of university life, such as accommodation options, tuition fees, and the admissions process, which includes a math and English test as well as a motivational interview. Mr. Krejčí reassured the students that they need not worry about these tests, as UJOP would fully prepare them.

As part of a series of university visits, the students will also tour the UCT School of Business in February. This hands-on experience is designed to help them explore the universities they are considering for their future studies. The support from UJOP teachers and academic advisors will guide them in making well-informed decisions about the university and programme that best suit their interests and goals.

Beyond university visits and discussions with university representatives, UJOP also provides individual consultations with teachers and academic advisors. This personalized support helps students develop tailored plans for their higher education journey.

While many UJOP students naturally lean towards Charles University when making their study plans, other universities are also considered to ensure each student's preferences and strengths are matched with the right institution, maximizing their chances of acceptance into the best possible programme.
