Talent Showcase at the 2024 Christmas Matinee

On Wednesday, December 4, the long-awaited Christmas concert titled "We Are United by Music" was held at the Emmaus Abbey at 3:00 PM. This marked the 30th consecutive musical matinee and served as another special occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of UJOP's affiliation with Charles University.

In addition to the concert, an exhibition featuring artwork by UJOP students was displayed in the corridor leading from the main entrance to the concert hall. Visitors could enjoy a variety of impressive paintings, drawings, and photographs.

By the time the concert began, the hall was already filled with attendees.

The Christmas matinee featured performances by eleven talented students and alumni from UJOP Charles University, representing countries from all over the world, including Ecuador, Israel, Japan, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, China, Germany, the Faroe Islands, and St. Kitts and Nevis.

Some performers sang, while others played the cello, violin, piano, or clarinet. The program included a mix of Christmas songs, modern pieces, folk music, and several classical works.

During the event, current and former UJOP staff members, who have made significant contributions to the Institute, were also recognized with awards.
