The preparatory programme starts with a one-week intensive Czech and English orientation course, accompanied by an introduction to Czech culture and history and basic information on the study centre and Charles University. Starting from the second week, the lessons in specialized subjects begin, which will prepare the students for the entrance exams for studies in medical fields.
You can look forward to lectures, seminars and study assignments with feedback from teachers. Instructors combine theoretical instruction with practical assignments and practice to prepare students for the entrance exams and subsequent university studies (independent work, responsibility, time management). In the summer semester, students can attend lectures at selected universities.
There is no proper study without tests and exams. You will also write continuous tests and take final semester exams at the end of the semester. If you pass the final exams in the summer semester, you will receive a certificate of completion of the preparatory programme.
The FAST programme is designed only for students with a minimum of B2 level of English. Before starting the FAST programme, students must provide a certificate of IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson PTE, Cambridge English. Exam comparability can be checked here: Comparison of English language test scores.
Students with a level of English below B2 will not be admitted to the programme. Students with a lower English proficiency level than B2 have the possibility to take the COMPLEX programme.
The preparatory programme for studies in humanities takes place at the Prague Krystal Centre. The advantage of this campus in Prague 6 (station Nádraží Veleslavín, metro line A) is the possibility of studying, meals and accommodation in one place. There is a large natural park and a large sports and recreational area of Charles University near the study centre. The trip to the city centre takes 15 minutes by metro.
