Students often ask whether admission to a university is guaranteed after the foundation programme. We are always transparent in explaining that the student decides the outcome.

What we can guarantee is the quality of our teaching. This quality is ensured through continuous methodological support and academic supervision. Key factor in students’ success is their own motivation, knowledge and commitment — those who are genuinely dedicated to their studies typically achieve excellent results.

At the end of the academic year, we invite our students to share information about their admission outcomes. Based on the results reported to us, we have compiled statistics that clearly illustrate both the overall success of our students and the range of fields and universities they go on to pursue.

University destinations of UJOP students

UJOP foundation programmes allow students to continue their studies at any faculty of any Czech university — they are not limited to Charles University.

The application process usually begins in February. During consultation hours, coordinators at the study centres help students develop their application strategy and assist them with the submission process. Students are guided to submit multiple applications, which increases their chances of being admitted to a university.

Active support throughout the academic year

UJOP foundation programmes attract motivated students who already have a general idea of the field they would like to pursue. However, choosing a specific specialisation, faculty, and university is not always straightforward. At this stage, programme coordinators and teachers provide guidance, helping students navigate the wide range of study options. With their support, students develop an application strategy, select several suitable options, and prepare purposefully for entrance examinations.

To further support this process, UJOP organises a variety of events throughout the academic year, giving students the opportunity to become closely acquainted with their potential future place of study. Events such as EduHub and visits to the faculties deserve a special mention

EduHub

A unique educational exhibition taking place right here at the UJOP Krystal centre – thanks to our collaboration with faculties from a wide range of universities, our students have the opportunity to receive personalised advice.

The first-ever EduHub took place at UJOP UK

On Friday, 21 November, the very first EduHub university fair was held at the Krystal Centre, offering students of the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies (UJOP) the opportunity to meet representatives of more than twenty Czech universities and their faculties.

Visits to faculties

During the academic year, UJOP students visit universities both as part of regular Open Day events and through special arrangements between our Institute and individual faculties. Students have the opportunity to explore not only universities in the capital, but also regional institutions, which offer a number of their own advantages.
