The follow-up retraining course is intended primarily for foreigners who already have Czech language skills at level A1 or higher, and for whom knowledge of Czech is an essential requirement for entering the labour market. To enrol, applicants are expected to have completed a basic Czech language course (either a retraining course or another course of an equivalent level). The instruction focuses on practical situations from both professional and everyday life. Our experienced teachers will help you develop your Czech so that you can communicate with confidence and improve your opportunities for employment on the Czech labour market.
The follow-up retraining course may be funded by the relevant local Labour Office, provided that all required conditions are met. Self-paying participants are also welcome.
At the start of the course, participants will sign an informed consent form agreeing to the study conditions, which comply with the Labour Office’s rules for tuition reimbursement.

Retraining Course in Czech as a Foreign Language – General
The retraining courses are accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (Ref. No. MSMT-3477/2023-5) under Section 108 of Act No. 435/2004 Coll., on Employment, as amended, and Decree No. 176/2009 Coll., in accordance with Section 108(3) of the Employment Act and Section 67 of Act No. 500/2004 Coll., the Administrative Code, as amended.
Note: UJOP UK reserves the right to cancel the course or postpone its start date if the minimum capacity of 10 students is not reached.

The objective of the course is to master more advanced communication in general life situations, in basic situations at work or at the government offices. Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to independently handle simple social and work communication, understand the main topics of news reports and technical information and instructions. Furthermore, they will be able to handle simple office procedures and basic written and electronic communication.
The price of the course covers basic textbooks, internal teaching materials, initial diagnostics, final exam and retraining certificate.
The course takes place in the premises of ÚJOP UK Prague-Voršilská in the centre of Prague near the National Theatre. The National Theatre tram stop and the Národní třída metro station are within walking distance. You will study in modern, well-equipped classrooms with interactive panels.
