As part of its ongoing mission to support international students in their transition to Czech higher education, UJOP regularly invites alumni to share their experiences with current students. One such meeting took place on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Krystal centre, where humanities foundation students had the opportunity to engage with a successful graduate now studying for her PhD. Anastasiya Vasilevskaya, who moved to the Czech Republic from her home country at age eighteen to get a top-quality European education, began her academic journey in UJOP’s foundation courses.

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, teachers and staff at the Poděbrady study centre hosted a festive Easter afternoon, where students took part in a friendly competition to create the best-decorated Easter box. Gathered in the auditorium near the castle garden, participants were provided with an array of creative materials — eggs, coloured ribbons, markers, acrylic paints, decorative stickers, and cut-out images. Each student brought a unique approach to the task, ranging from traditional to highly original designs. With a chocolate lamb as the grand prize, motivation was high.

On the final day of March, students from the technical and economic foundation programmes in Poděbrady embarked on a trip to Mladá Boleslav as part of a series of educational excursions organized by UJOP for its students. Their destination was Škoda Auto, the iconic Czech automaker celebrating its 130th anniversary this year. The students had the opportunity to explore both the company’s rich history and its production processes.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Czech-Mongolian diplomatic relations, Mongolian President Chürelsüch Uchna visited the Czech Republic. On this occasion, on March 10, the UJOP management held a meeting with key members of the Mongolian delegation, which included Lodoiravsal Choimaa, advisor to the president on education, science, and technology, Ochirkhuyag Bayanjargal, rector of the Mongolian National University, and Enkhbayar Baatartsol, director of the Department of External Cooperation at the Mongolian Ministry of Education.
