Czech Republic is the most popular country for Kazakh students to study

Hundreds of people crowded the stand of the Institute of Language and Preparatory Studies during the presentation tour of Kazakhstan. The great interest in our preparatory courses at the Begin Edu Fairin Astana and Almaty was confirmed by the results of a survey conducted by the European Commission, according to which the Czech Republic is the most popularcountry in the world for Kazakh students to study.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Astana Rudolf Hykl together with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Roman Vasilenko during a meeting on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries mentioned not only the developing cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, but also referred to the problems of education. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasilenko considers the high number of Kazakh students in the Czech Republic to be very positive and unique in the European context.

Students in the senior years of secondary schools and their parents were most interested in preparing for technical and medical fields, while at the same time reassuring them selves that studying in Czech is really free at public universities.

"Yes, you can study for free in the Czech Republic if you study in the Czech language at a public university. You will master Czech with us. Kazakh students are one of the largest groups of international participants in our preparatory courses. Most of them choose the COMPLEX programme and reach the B2/C1 level." These sentences were repeated so often by our colleagues that they still dreamed about it at night.

Since February it has been possible to take our certified Czech language exam in Kazakhstan and obtain a certificate that grants admission to the FAST preparatory program. The first ever exam in this country showed that local Czech teachers often underestimate the amount oftuition needed to reach B1 level.
