Exploring the World of Technology: A Visit to CTU

On Thursday, February 6th, students from the technical preparatory courses had the chance to visit the prestigious Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague, one of the top technical universities in the country, to get a closer look at the academic world many of them hope to join.

The day began with an engaging lecture by Mgr. Eva Marková, CTU’s coordinator for international student recruitment. In her interactive presentation, she shared details about the university's history, highlighted some of its most notable alumni, and explained the benefits of studying at CTU. She also provided useful practical information for prospective students.

Later in the session, Ing. Daniela Illnerová, the vice-dean for external relations, joined the discussion to talk specifically about the Faculty of Information Technology. She introduced two students: one from the bachelor’s programme and another from the master’s programme. The students offered their personal perspectives on CTU, giving the visitors a glimpse into student life at the university. They emphasized how dynamic and rewarding studying IT can be. They also highlighted the supportive atmosphere at CTU, with teachers who genuinely care about their students' success. They explained that professors are always ready to help students during consultation hours to understand the material and apply it in practical ways. By the end of the visit, some students had exchanged contact details, forging new connections. All agreed that the visit had been well worth their time and left them inspired about their potential future studies at CTU.
