Poděbrady Students Compete for Most Beautiful Easter Box

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, teachers and staff at the Poděbrady study centre hosted a festive Easter afternoon, where students took part in a friendly competition to create the best-decorated Easter box.

Gathered in the auditorium near the castle garden, participants were provided with an array of creative materials — eggs, coloured ribbons, markers, acrylic paints, decorative stickers, and cut-out images. Each student brought a unique approach to the task, ranging from traditional to highly original designs. With a chocolate lamb as the grand prize, motivation was high.

In the end, it was a group of Mongolian scholarship students who stole the show. Their careful attention to detail and vibrant decorations earned them the top prize from a very impressed jury.

Such cultural activities are a regular part of the curriculum at the Poděbrady centre. They support international students in gaining a deeper understanding of Czech customs and contribute to their overall integration and comfort during their stay in the Czech Republic.
