If you happened to pass by the Voršilská centre shortly after noon on Thursday, December 19, you might have heard the sound of choral singing coming from the top-floor windows. On that day, students and teachers gathered for their final meeting of 2024, celebrating the season by singing Christmas carols together and getting into the festive spirit ahead of the upcoming holidays.
As it often happens, some students sang the carols in their own unique key, and others even interpreted the notes in a free-spirited style. :) However, at UJOP, we always embrace creative approaches, which is precisely what gives the carol singing its special charm and atmosphere.
Accompanied by piano, the participants sang popular Czech carols such as We Bring You the News, Let's Go Together to Bethlehem, Christ the Lord is Born, and Silent Night. A short overview of the highlights from this lovely gathering can be enjoyed in the video below:
