Although temperatures are freezing outside and spring still seems far away, the summer semester of the 2023/2024 academic year has begun for more than 126 students from 40 different countries across six continents.
Petra Landergott Kalvínská, head of the Prague study centre, greeted the students of Czech language courses at the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies of Charles University. "Our school offers excellent teachers who will assist you in improving your Czech and understanding Czech culture. Our professional facilities make it possible for you to study in a pleasant environment and with maximum comfort," she assured the new students.
After a short break, the corridors of the Voršilská teaching centre are once again buzzing with the cheerful chatter of the students. Those new to the courses are meeting with their new classmates, those who continue their studies are happily reuniting with their friends after a few weeks of separation.
„I hope that you will feel like at home with us and that your studies will be full of new experiences and insights. We look forward to spending an intensive time together learning Czech," said the Head of the Prague study centre at the end of the opening of the new semester.
