On Wednesday, December 4, the long-awaited Christmas concert titled "We Are United by Music" was held at the Emmaus Abbey at 3:00 PM. This marked the 30th consecutive musical matinee and served as another special occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of UJOP's affiliation with Charles University. In addition to the concert, an exhibition featuring artwork by UJOP students was displayed in the corridor leading from the main entrance to the concert hall. Visitors could enjoy a variety of impressive paintings, drawings, and photographs.

If you happened to pass by the Voršilská centre shortly after noon on Thursday, December 19, you might have heard the sound of choral singing coming from the top-floor windows. On that day, students and teachers gathered for their final meeting of 2024, celebrating the season by singing Christmas carols together and getting into the festive spirit ahead of the upcoming holidays.

On Saturday, November 23, Poděbrady had the privilege of welcoming Mrs. Namuunaa, the third secretary of the Mongolian embassy. She visited to meet with Mongolian students who had begun their studies in the COMPLEX preparatory programmes at ÚJOP, having been selected through the Mongolian presidential scholarship.

Saint Nicholas worked up quite a sweat during his recent visit to UJOP's Voršilská, Krystal and Poděbrady centres which he managed in only two days. He made his rounds on 5 and 6 December, accompanied by a kind angel and a mischievous devil - who tried to scare the naughty students with his ominous bag. But much to his disappointment - and our relief - there were no naughty students at UJOP! Instead, St Nicholas was faced with a delightful surprise: the students were ready with Christmas rhymes and poems.
