Summer School of Slavonic Studies

The Summer School of Slavonic Studies (SSSS ILPS CU) is intended for applicants from the general public interested in Czech language, ranging from beginners to advanced students (levels A1 to B2). It combines an intensive course of the Czech language with a wide variety of lectures, cultural and sports activities. The course graduates will obtain a certificate of attendance. Students also have the possibility to take a Czech Language Certificate Exam (CCE) which verifies their achieved level of language proficiency (its price is not included in the course price). Participants may also receive credits recognized by their university.

Applicants have to be older than 18 years to take part (younger students need to be accompanied by their legal representative). Under exceptional circumstances you can register for a part of the course as well.

The Summer School is also open to holders of scholarships granted by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

  • lectures on Czech history, culture, literature

All participants are encouraged to partake in an extensive and carefully crafted extracurricular programme.

We also offer the course as a language tuition without the accompanying program. You can choose the variant in the online application.
