The summer school in Prague is ideal for students from all over the world (16 years and older) who want to improve their Czech language skills in an interesting way (25 lessons per week). We offer courses from A0 to B2+, so you can apply with little or no knowledge of Czech. Locals will guide you through Prague in the footsteps of famous personalities and you will get to know more deeply the Czech character, music or literature. At the same time, you will be able to get to know Prague and the Czech Republic on your own and you will have plenty of time to do so.

Course fees

• 12 850 CZK – 2-week programme (27 July – 7 August. 2026 or 10 August – 21 August 2026)
• 24 000 CZK – 4-week programme (27 July – 21 August 2026)

What Happens Next?

• Upon application submission with two required attachments above, you will receive our confirmation with non-refundable administrative fee (3 000 CZK / 130 EUR) payment details (also available below).
• Upon payment of the non-refundable administrative fee, please send the receipt (bank statement, bank order, PrintScreen) for the non-refundable administrative fee to studref2@ujop.cuni.cz
 

Once your application is complete, you will receive:

• Confirmation of acceptance with remaining payment instructions and deadlines
• Document package via Signi, including:
• Rules of study and accommodation
• Fire and Safety regulations
• Consent with photo/video documentation during the summer school
• Infoletter with essential information for enrolled participants (no later than 2 weeks before  the course start)
 

TThe summer school takes place in the renovated teaching premises of UJOP UK Prague-Voršilskáin the centre of Prague near the National Theatre. Within walking distance, there is the National Theatre tram stop and the Národní třída metro station. You will study in modernly equipped classrooms with interactive whiteboards. The school building provides students with a study room, a kitchenette, and a relaxation area.

We offer two accommodation options for summer school participants (we offer accommodation only for participants over 18 years of age).

For the 4-week course, we offer accommodation from July 26 to August 22 (27 nights). For the 2-week course, we offer accommodation from July 26 to August 8 / from August 9 to August 22 (13 nights).

Krystal Hotel

The Krystal Hotel provides single and double rooms, each with an ensuite bathroom and a balcony. It is conveniently located just 15 minutes by public transport from the centre of Prague and the Václav Havel Airport.

Situated on the edge of the Divoká Šárka Nature Reserve, the hotel is close to the Džbán swimming pool and a large sports complex of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University. Here, you can use the gym and solarium (for a fee), posilovnu či solárium or engage in various sports activities such as spinning, aerobics, indoor rowing, squash, and table tennis.

2 weeks course: 17 875 CZK - 1 375 CZK/room/night

Price list - double rooms

4 weeks course: 47 520 CZK - 1 760 CZK/room/night (23,760 CZK – 880 CZK/bed/night)

2 weeks course:  22 880 CZK - 1 760 CZK/room/night (11,440 CZK – 880 CZK/bed/night)

*Prices include buffet breakfast and all taxes.

**Double rooms can only be booked if you are attending the summer school as a couple and wish to stay together.

Important Information:

• Booking and Payment: To reserve accommodation, payment of both the tuition fee and the accommodation fee must be completed at least 30 days before the course begins. If payment is made after this date, we cannot guarantee your place on the course or accommodation availability.
• Accommodation Availability: Accommodation is provided on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
• Booking Confirmation: Your accommodation will only be confirmed once both the tuition fee and accommodation payment have been received. If the selected accommodation type is full, you will be offered an alternative option.

Cancellation Terms for Accommodation:

• 23 days prior to arrival - free of charge
• 23-18 days prior to arrival - 50% of the total amount
• 18-9 days prior to arrival - 75% of the total amount
• 9-0 days prior to arrival - 100% of the total amount

If you are a self-payer, dining is not included in the course fee. Participants of the summer school at UJOP Charles University can use the dining services starting from August 1 directly in the school cafeteria (hot lunches) at affordable prices, or they can choose from a wide selection of Prague cafes and restaurants. Each floor in the accommodation facility has a shared kitchenette (equipped with an oven, microwave, electric kettle, and induction cooktop).
