The Summer School includes:

• Academic Programme: You will visit various faculties of Charles University and you will be taught specialized subjects by university experts. These include the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Science, and the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies. All classes will be conducted in English, so an English proficiency of B1 is recommended (A2+ is a minimum).

• Leisure and Cultural Activities:  A diverse range of activities, including sports, games, and cultural excursions to locations such as:
  • Prague Astronomical Clock
  • Czech National Bank
  • Charles Bridge
  • Botanical Garden
  • And many other interesting places

• Skills Development: Enhance important academic skills, including presentation skills, debating, critical and analytical thinking, leadership, and teamwork. These skills will benefit your future studies and career. Additionally, there will be a seminar on study opportunities in the Czech Republic.

• Full board and accommodation: Enjoy full board and accommodation at the Charles University dormitories, with 24/7 supervision for your safety and comfort.

In addition to gaining a deeper understanding of life at Charles University, you will have the chance to meet professors, current students and alumni, while making new friendships with peers from across the globe and having unforgettable experiences. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of attendance.

• Travel insurance - also for a trip to Dresden (Germany). Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance for both countries Czech Republic and Germany.

Fees and Payment

• Total Fee: 56 153 CZK / 2 410 EUR
• Administrative Fee:
  A non-refundable administrative fee of 3 000 CZK (130 EUR) is due at the time of application. This fee secures your place in the course, provided all acceptance criteria are met.
• Course Fee:
  The remaining balance of 53 153 CZK / 2 280 EUR must be paid by May 31, 2026.
  Please note: International bank transfers may take up to 5 business days.
• Payment Options:
  You may pay the administrative fee and course fee together (56 153 CZK / 2 410 EUR) in one transaction if you prefer.

• Passport scan (page with photo and personal details)
• Parent/legal guardian declaration
• Proof of English proficiency:
  • Screenshot of your placement test result from Tracktest, or
  • CAE/FCE/TEFL certificate, or English elementary/high school diploma

What Happens Next?

• Upon application submission with two required attachments above, you will receive our confirmation with non-refundable administrative fee (3 000 CZK / 130 EUR) payment details (also available below).
• Upon payment of the non-refundable administrative fee, please send the receipt (bank statement, bank order, PrintScreen) for the non-refundable administrative fee to studujop@ujop.cuni.cz

Once your application is complete, you will receive:

• Confirmation of acceptance with remaining payment instructions and deadlines
• Document package via Signi, including:
  • Rules of study and accommodation
  • Fire and Safety regulations
  • Consent with photo/video documentation during the summer school
• Access to Moodle for submitting additional documents and passport-sized photo (in colour, face from the front, 1 colour background, jpg format, max 2MB, 346px * 260 px)
• Padlet link (password protected) with essential information for enrolled participants

The summer school is held at the Krystal Centre, a modern university mini-campus. The Krystal Centre offers modernly equipped classrooms, accommodation, and meals all in one place. Located just 15 minutes by public transport from Václav Havel Airport and the historic center of Prague, the centre is also close to the Divoká Šárka Nature Reserve.

Participants of the summer school will be housed in double rooms at the Krystal dormitory, each equipped with private facilities. The building features shared communal areas, a kitchenette, and Wi-Fi throughout. The campus's location provides easy access to classes, meals, and accommodation all in one place. Nearby, you’ll find a large natural park and the extensive sports and recreational facilities of Charles University.
