            As part of its ongoing mission to support international students in their transition to Cz

            education, UJOP regularly invites alumni to share their experiences with current students.
            meeting took place on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Krystal centre, where humanities foun

            successful graduate now studying for her PhD.



            Anastasiya Vasilevskaya, who moved to the Czech Republic from her home country at age eigh
            top-quality European education, began her academic journey in UJOP’s foundation courses [ 

            ujop.cuni.cz/UJOPEN-69.html?filtrvalue_oborstudia=9"] .

            Thanks to her dedication and strong academic performance, she quickly rose to the top of h

            language foundation [ URL "https://ujop.cuni.cz/UJOPEN-69.html?filtrvalue_oborstudia=9"] s
            allowed her to continue her studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, where she 
            in East European Studies and Russian Language and Literature. She is currently completing 

            research in Slavic Literature. 



            During her visit, Anastasiya shared her academic journey, personal experiences, and practi
            with current students preparing for university studies in the humanities [ URL "https://uj
            UJOPEN-69.html?filtrvalue_oborstudia=9"] .


            She offered tips on applying to philology programmes, navigating university life, and maki
            the student experience—sprinkled with humorous anecdotes and honest reflections. While ack

            challenges, she emphasized that the journey was deeply rewarding.



            Her advice to students was clear: step outside your comfort zone, make Czech friends, and 
            activities that help you grow—not only in language skills but also personally. "There are 
            success," she said."
