Students of the Foundation Programmes Visit Body Worlds Exhibition

Students of the medical and pharmacy foundation programmes visited the Body Worlds exhibition at Westfield Chodov on Friday, 13 March 2026, where they had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of human anatomy.

At the entrance, they were greeted by an experienced guide and began exploring the exhibition hall, which was divided into multiple sections based on the different bodily systems. Early on, the students were surprised to discover that this unique exhibition showcases real human bodies, donated to science and education by their original owners. These cadavers are preserved in a way that allows them to be displayed for the public.

The students then had a unique opportunity to examine in detail both the appearance and the functioning of the human body. Smaller display cases featured individual specimens, while larger cases contained whole bodies.

The students’ genuine interest was evident in the many questions they asked about various bodily systems. The experience allowed them not only to enrich their existing knowledge but also to practice the Czech vocabulary they had recently learned.
