MUP and UJOP UK Discuss Closer Cooperation in the Preparation and Support of International Students

Representatives of Metropolitan University Prague (MUP) and the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies of Charles University (UJOP UK) met on 19 January to discuss strengthening cooperation in the language and academic preparation of international applicants, as well as in support for international students.

MUP is a fully accredited university offering study programmes, including doctoral programmes, in both Czech and English, and it has a strong international student community. UJOP UK has long focused on providing language and academic preparation for international students seeking to study at Czech universities—an area that offers clear potential for closer collaboration. In response to this shared understanding, UJOP UK and MUP signed an agreement enabling such cooperation.

Discussions between the leadership of both institutions focused primarily on admissions procedures, students’ language and academic readiness, and the possibilities for recognising studies completed at UJOP UK. Attention was also given to lectures and presentations offered by MUP to prospective applicants, as well as to support for students throughout their academic journey. The meeting confirmed mutual interest in defining concrete steps that will help international applicants choose suitable study programmes and support their successful entry into, and progress through, their studies.
