The youngest centre of the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies at Charles University celebrated the 15th anniversary of its founding last week. Alumni from multiple study years returned to Krystal to take part in the event, which included refreshments and an accompanying programme at the Krystal restaurant.
The Centre’s Director Petra Landergott Kalvínská opened the evening by greeting guests and acknowledging the teachers who helped shape the centre from its earliest days. The celebration continued with musical performances: a vocal piece by alumna Diana Dymyrova and a clarinet performance by alumnus Yuki Kanada.
A commemorative video and a quiz about the Krystal Centre invited guests to reflect on the centre’s history and tested their knowledge. Winners of the alumni competition were announced at the end of the programme.
The evening then shifted into informal conversation and meeting time. Former students and teachers, many of whom had not seen one another for years, enjoyed reconnecting, exchanging stories, and reminiscing about their shared experiences.
