UJOP Welcomes the New Academic Year

The new academic year begins next week, and the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies (UJOP) is naturally in full preparation mode. After a summer filled with our summer schools, teachers are once again ready to devote themselves fully to students in the Foundation programmes.

In the second half of August, UJOP hosted a Pre-arrival Webinar, giving students all the key information they need to settle in smoothly and without complications at the institute.

Part of these preparations was the “Day for Krystal,” held on Tuesday, September 2. During this gathering, UJOP teachers and staff discussed the schedule for the new academic year, changes and innovations in teaching, as well as new materials and digital tools that will make classes more interactive and engaging for students.

Each department shared its plans and coordinated activities to ensure smooth operations and to guarantee that newly arriving students receive the best possible care and instruction. Teachers, together with the management, also finalized preparations for the arrival of new students.

At this moment, UJOP’s Airport Buddies are already welcoming new students at the airport, while academic assistants at individual centres are registering students and helping them with accommodation.

In the upcoming academic year, UJOP of Charles University is proud to welcome more than 500 students to its Czech- and English-language Foundation Programmes, coming from more than 60 countries around the globe.
