  • Which specialism to choose?

Students choose their future specialism according to their interest, capabilities and ideas of their future career. In the following table, you will find a list of specialisms at Czech universities.

As foreign students compete at entrance exams with their Czech peers, there are specialisms where it is harder for them to succeed.

The following table shows probability of success of ILPS CU Preparatory Courses alumni during entrance exams to public universities (studying in Czech is for free). The table uses a sample of app. 2,000 foreign students.

    Specialism

    Probability of success

    Technical 95%  and more
    Medicine and Science 70%
    Economics 75%
    Humanities 30%

The probability of success at entrance exams to private universities is almost 100%.

  • Who will organise the translation of my documents?

For your visa application you must translate all documents into Czech. Documents sent from the study department will not need to be translated - these are issued in Czech. However 2-3 documents must be translated:

    • CONFIRMATION (STATEMENT) FROM THE BANK
    • STATEMENT OF CRIMINAL RECORD
    • PARENTAL CONSENT FOR TRAVEL - minors only

We will arrange translations with verified translators including a stamp from a court translator/interpreter. Detailed information can be found in the Services section or here. We don't recommend getting your translations done in your home country. Every translation must have the stamp of a court translator.

  • What is included in the price of our courses?

The following are included in the price of our courses:

    • language preparation (Czech courses at Albertova - 25h/week, preparatory courses - 35h/week); in the case of preparatory courses both language and specialist subject preparation included
    • basic teaching materials

We will also help students with degree conversions, we offer consultations on university choices, we help with settling in after arrival, we help students on doctoral programmes to find a supervisor and we arrange cultural programmes.

  • Do you provide any guarantee?

The only thing we can guarantee is the quality of our courses, which has been tested by the thousands of students who have been accepted to state universities on a range of disciplines throughout the ten years of our existence. We also regard the fact that we prepare students for government scholarships as a mark of our quality guarantee.

We can also guarantee that we will not show you things through rose-tinted glasses, but will truthfully share all information about studying in the Czech Republic.

With us, you won't need to worry that we will keep on asking for more money - the price for the preparatory programmes is fixed; we won't be asking for any extra money for the course once you arrive!

We cannot guarantee that you will get into a university, as that does depend on you and whether you pass the entrance exams. We can guarantee that we will provide the best preparation to help you successfully pass the demanding process and to study at your chosen university.

If we make a promise, we keep it!
