Summer School of Slavonic Studies
The Summer School of Slavonic Studies (SSSS ILPS CU) is intended for applicants from the general public interested in Czech language, ranging from beginners to advanced students (levels A1 to B2). It combines an intensive course of the Czech language with a wide variety of lectures, cultural and sports activities. The course graduates will obtain a certificate of attendance. Students also have the possibility to take a Czech Language Certificate Exam (CCE) which verifies their achieved level of language proficiency (its price is not included in the course price). Participants may also receive credits recognized by their university.
Applicants have to be older than 18 years to take part (younger students need to be accompanied by their legal representative). Under exceptional circumstances you can register for a part of the course as well.
The Summer School is also open to holders of scholarships granted by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

All participants are encouraged to partake in an extensive and carefully crafted extracurricular programme.
ILPS CU Podebrady has a long history of teaching and hosting students both within the academic year and during the summer courses (past years of SSSS). Podebrady is located an hour's drive from the Prague airport, it is a lovely spa town with a colonnade, many parks, restaurants and lively cultural and social life. The course itself takes place in the heart of Poděbrady at a 14th century castle with a large garden used for a variety of student activities.
Accommodation is provided in a hotel-style standard and offers twin rooms en-suite and a shared kitchen.
Accommodation in single-bed rooms is not possible.
There is no board provided but Podebrady offers a sufficient number of restaurants, cafés and bistros.
The scholarship holders will receive meal vouchers accepted in the majority of local restaurants.
